If you find yourself cruising along the scenic Trans-Canada Highway in Lytton, BC, make a well-deserved stop at the Jade Springs Restaurant. Nestled at 1145 Trans-Canada Hwy, this charming Chinese eatery is a hidden gem that offers a fusion of exceptional flavors amidst the rugged beauty of the surrounding landscape. With a reputation for delicious dishes and a warm atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit.
The heart of Jade Springs lies in its remarkable menu, showcasing a variety of authentic Chinese dishes that consistently leave patrons raving. Echoing the sentiments of customers like CJ, you’ll find standout choices such as beef fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and beef chop suey. Dishes like deep-fried shrimp promise to take your taste buds on a joyful ride. While some patrons, including Dana Tierney, have noted minor imperfections in ingredient quality, they often emphasize how expertly the flavors are crafted and presented, making each meal truly enjoyable.
The ambience, described by Thom Ross as friendly and welcoming, provides a perfect backdrop for a meal shared with family or friends. Despite the restaurant’s need for some repairs and updates in areas such as cleanliness—an observation noted by a few guests—the warmth of the owners and staff shines through. Their dedication to service often leaves customers, like Jesse Booth, feeling valued and appreciated. This personal touch adds depth to the overall dining experience.
One of the highlights of dining at Jade Springs is their excellent tea, served loose in a teapot, a detail that adds a sense of authenticity to the meal. This grounding ritual enhances the experience, making it more than just a quick bite but rather a pause for enjoyment and connection in a journey of flavors.
In an area where natural beauty mingles with the sounds of passing trains, Lucy Green suggests that although the trains may disrupt, they can't overshadow the culinary delights found here. So, whether you're a local or just passing through, Jade Springs Restaurant is not just another stop—it's a culinary experience worth savoring.

The washrooms are beyond gross, the building is in desperate need of repair but the Chinese food is amazing. The beef fried rice, sweet and sour pork, beef chop suey and derp fried shrimp were incredible. The owners seem really nice too.

Very basic and perfect. Trains suck but there is no getting away from them anywhere in the canyon.... :-)

Food was good, tea was loose tea in a teapot, as it should be. I had prawns and mushrooms. Mushrooms were great; prawns were really shrimp, but the sause made up for this minor matter

Stopped in for a coffee and meal while I was driving to Vancouver from Prince George. The food was good and was ready by the time my coffee was done. The girl working seemed to be a great multitasker and was genuinely nice. Will be back!

I love your wings and stopped today specifically for them as I don't live in town anymore. You would've gotten 5 stars had it not been for the total lack of customer service on your staff's part. Had to wait for her to change dishes over instead of helping a customer first. And that was after having to get someone's attention at all. Then she couldn't even have the courtesy to say you're welcome to my thank you. It was like I was putting her out to do her job. A chat may be in order.
